Choose your card language
The language your customers read, what it changes and where to change it.
Updated October 12, 2026 · 3 min
The card language is the one your customers read: English by default, or French if you pick it. Fidz never guesses it from the customer's phone or country. It is independent of the language of your own screen: you can run Fidz in French and keep an English card, or the other way round.
What it changes
- The card in the Wallet: its texts and its alert messages.
- The sign-up page (fidz.app/scan/…) and the "Find my card" page, when they open. The customer can then change language themselves.
- The messages sent to customers: Wallet notifications, automatic messages and broadcasts.
- The e-mails sent to your customers in your name.
Where to change it
- At the top of the studio (My card → Design), the "Card language" selector, visible whichever editor is open. Like any studio edit, it goes through the draft: nothing changes for your customers before "Publish".
- In Business → My business, "Card language" field: the change applies at once, and the cards already installed update.
- At step 1 of the setup assistant ("Your card language"). French is preselected for a shop in France, or when your screen is in French.
Only the original texts follow the change: what you wrote yourself (the reward name, an edited message) stays as it is. Until you pick one, your customers read English. You need access to the card design to change it.
